Tate Swimming Again!!!

We took Tate to the pool again today and it was absolutely AMAZING! He did so good. He floated on his back and kicked up a storm. He had so much fun. He even dunked his own head in the water and we for sure thought he was going to be unhappy but he loved it. He even blew out when his mouth went under water!! Such a good boy! Daddy was so proud! He was so comfortable that he even stayed in the water for a whole hour!! We were shocked! He is definitely a natural!! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for coming swimming with us (especially Grandma for taking such great pictures and videos) We had so much fun! Watch out Michael Phelps you have got some competition coming your way!!! (See below this post for videos)

Tate's First Mall Trip

Today Billy and I took Tate to the mall for the first time. He loved looking at all of the different lights in all of the stores. He was dancing around in his stroller. When we got to pottery barn kids we decided to put him in the little kid chairs to see how he liked them and he absolutely loved him. Needless to say Mommy and Daddy are going to have to get him one of his own :)

Tate's first swimming lesson with Daddy

We decided on a whim to take Tate to the pool tonight and see how he likes the water...and he LOVES it. He was so comfortable...we were so happy. He even kicked a little! He definitely takes after his mom and dad! We can't wait to take him again during the day!

Giant Baby!

We took Tate in for his 6 week check-up today and we couldn't believe it...He has gained 5 pounds and grew 3 inches!! He now weighs 12 lbs 3 oz which is in the 95th percentile and he is 24 inches long which is above the 95th percentile!! We couldn't believe how much he has grown. The doctor said that he is a perfectly healthy baby and that Mama has some super nutritous breast milk! It makes me feel so good that he is thriving so much on breast milk, since you never truly know how much he is getting. The only sad thing was that he had to have his first shot and it was the so hard for Mommy and Daddy...he let out the loudest screech, I started crying instantly. Luckily they have sucrose that they put on his pacifier to make him feel better and it worked...He was such a brave, strong little man.

We all went out to grab some dinner the other night and Grandpa had Tate outside. When we came out Tate was sitting shotgun with Grandpa in his cool car! It was so cute!

Flagstaff-Our First Family Trip

We were lucky enough to get out of the heat this past weekend and head up north to Flagstaff. Thanks so much to the Melikian's for letting us stay in their cabin, we had such an amazing time! We were also so excited to be able to see the Kirch's as well! Tate had so much fun meeting his Auntie Kiki, Chris, Kendal, and Blaire! The girls were so sweet with him...I know they are going to have so much fun together as Tate grows! Here are some pictures from our trip.

We dressed Tate in his first 'outfit' today and we were a little skeptical because normally we think newborns look silly when they are dressed in shorts because they go down to their ankles. We were so shocked because he actually looked so cute. He has such crazy long legs, that they actually hit right at his knees like they are supposed to! He was instantly transformed into a little boy! We could totally picture him running down the beach! So cute! Here is a picture of him, doesn't really show off the proportions as well, but still so cute!

I can't believe that the little guy is already one month old! He has grown so much in the last week! He has outgrown his jammies and most of his newborn clothes! It is amazing how fast he grows! Here is a picture I took of him in the cool onesie his Grandpa Bill made for him!
